Who is Gene Dot Com??

“Love what you do, and do what you love” Eugene White known as “Gene Dot Com” knows that quote all too well. A native of Jacksonville, Florida; his experience and well liked personality has evolved him into a powerful influence in the bold city of Jacksonville and beyond.

Gene is a proud graduate of William M. Raines High School, located in north Jacksonville, he considers himself a “True Raines Viking” to the heart. With that being said while attending high school Gene Dot Com was responsible for giving the school all of the highlights of the day as the morning announcer. The staff was so moved by Gene’s ability to entertain the students and his ability to speak that the principal Jimmy Johnson, created a Television Production class to develop other students craft in this area.

After graduation Gene went to college but also entered into fatherhood. The birth of Genes only son Desmond, caused him to enter into the work force sooner than he had planned. After working a few odd jobs Gene landed a job with Airborne Express. Gene began to realize he was not using his potential to his fullest and that there was something bigger out there for him. God arranged it for Gene to receive the route at Airborne Express that would include the top local radio station 92.7 The Beat where he met the morning show producer “Chill Will” who gave him the name “Gene Dot Com” and an opportunity to do what he did so many years earlier at Raines High School; entertain the people with the highlights of the day. For several years he served the city well by giving the best punch lines, sports commentary, and the best Hip Hop and R & B.

Gene Dot Com continues to push himself and is now an Account Executive for the same station he began his radio career so many years ago. Now he is touching the people in a different way. As a sales professional, he assist businesses by extending ideas that are designed to stratigically advance their products to the next level.

Gene also has a passion for kids and is committed to helping make a difference in the lives of our youth. Gene believes that we can make a difference with our community one child at a time. He has worked with the Duval County School Board specializing in At Risk Kids. He is currently a mentor with the JABSE (Jacksonville Alliance of Black School Educators) Gene believes in giving back to the community that has given so much to him.

Through all of this a brand was created “Gene Dot Com”. This brand represents Trust, Credibility and Respect. You may see him conducting business in a suit and tie or tearing down a party on the mic in an “I Am The Brand” T-shirt, but in either form one thing will never change; Gene Dot Com will deliver.
