Coming Home: Why the Northwest Classic Still Means Everything!

ree

Different breed fr 🏈 Tomorrow we sliding through Jacksonville ready to put on a SHOW at the Northwest Classic. You already know what time it is! 🔥 #Raines #NorthwestClassic #DuvalFootball

There are games, and then there's the Northwest Classic.

This Saturday isn't just another football game for me—it's a homecoming in every sense of the word. I'll be riding in the parade alongside the current principal of my alma mater, Raines High School, and honestly, I can't think of a better way to spend my Saturday.

Go Vikings!

For those who don't know, the Northwest Classic is more than touchdowns and tackles. It's about legacy, community, and that special kind of pride that only comes from watching your neighborhood take the field. Whether you bled cardinal  and gray at Raines or rocked the blue and white at Ribault, this game represents everything we love about Duval—heart, hustle, and showing up for each other.

I'm blessed to be hosting the tailgate this year, bringing that authentic Duval energy we're known for. Good food, great people, and the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why Jacksonville is special. Then it's parade time, rolling through with the principal of the school that shaped so much of who I am today.

And of course, I'll see you at the game.

Whether you're cheering from the stands, tailgating in the parking lot, or just soaking in the atmosphere, this Saturday is about celebrating our community and the young people who represent us on that field.

See you Saturday, Duval. Let's make it one for the books.

PS You already know all the official related Raines v Ribault events will be hosted by yours truly, GeneDotCom!
